Journey to Alaska's Denali National Park, land of the giant moose.

Follow biologist Vic Van Ballenberghe through a year of his fieldwork in Denali National Park.  In the spring, Vic tracks one of his collared moose to find a newborn calf only hours old.  In the fall, he observes the rut, when the normally mild-mannered bull moose fight for breeding rights -- and sometimes for their lives.  In addition to moose, this film features wolves, grizzly bears, caribou, owls, tundra swans, sheep, black bears, and other magnificent Alaskan wildlife.
